It’s finally warming up outside, which means it’s a great time to play some video games. Normally, the joke would be “stay inside and play video games,” but with Pokémon GO, you can feel free to leave the house and take a nice walk outside while still getting your screen time in. If you want a little more to do, though, then make sure to get outside next month for Community Day! Here’s what to look forward to in Pokémon GO’s April 2021 Community Day.

April’s Pokémon GO Community Day will begin on April 11th at 11:00 AM local time, and run until 5:00 PM. During this time, any Pokémon you catch will net you three times as much Stardust as usual, and any incense activated will last a whopping three hours. If you’re willing to shell out a bit, there’s a couple of neat things on sale, too. For 1,280 PokéCoins, you can purchase the Community Day box, which contains 50 Ultra Balls, four Star Pieces, four Mossy Lure Modules, and an Elite Charged TM. If you spend $1 USD (or local currency equivalent), you can also gain access to the Community Day-exclusive Field Research Task, Snivy in the Sunshine.

Pokémon GO Community Day for April

Speaking of the grass snake Pokémon, Snivy, Servine, and Serperior are the stars of Community Day this time around. Spawn rates for Snivy in the wild will be heavily boosted, and the odds of it being shiny will also be raised. If you can evolve a Snivy into Servine and that Servine into Serperior while the event is going, it’ll automatically learn the powerful Grass type move Frenzy Plant. If you’re having trouble getting enough candy together, you’ll still have the opportunity to get a Serperior with Frenzy Plant for up to two hours after the event concludes.

So get out there on a (hopefully) sunny Sunday and hunt for some grass snake Pokémon. Just remember, as Niantic has reminded everyone, to be conscious of your local health mandates while playing the game.
