Nebuchadnezzar – Common Issues Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting Guide

Game was not able to detect my resolution

In some rare cases, the game can fail to detect your monitor resolution.

Solution:

Open game settings and select the required resolution.

Game does not offer the required resolution in settings

Solution:

Open vars.ini file and edit line starting with v_resolution to your required resolution in the form

  • v_resolution [width]x[height]

Nebuchadnezzar supports any resolution higher than 1366×768 (including). vars.ini file location:

  • A) Windows: DocumentsNeposGamesNebuchadnezzarvars.ini
  • B) Linux: home/.local/share/NeposGames/Nebuchadnezzar/vars.ini

User interface is too small and 4K UI support too big

Nebuchadnezzar does not “officially” offer dynamic UI scaling, because our UI graphics are not yet ready for it. But if you want to try it, you can.

Solution:

Open vars.ini file and edit line starting with v_ui_scale_override to your required scale. For 100% scale (no change) it’s 1.0, for 125% scale it’s 1.25, for 150% scale it’s 1.5, etc.

To disable dynamic scale, set value to any negative number. vars.ini file location:

  • A) Windows: DocumentsNeposGamesNebuchadnezzarvars.ini
  • B) Linux: home/.local/share/NeposGames/Nebuchadnezzar/vars.ini

Game crashed right after the start

Check if the game was able to create user data. Which are located:

  • A) Windows: DocumentsNeposGamesNebuchadnezzar
  • B) Linux: home/.local/share/NeposGames/Nebuchadnezzar

If there is no such folder, the game was not able to create user data. Check your antivirus or similar programs if they don’t block access to your Documents folder.

If there are user data, please send us a log file nb_log.log so we can analyze where the problem could be. And if there is also a crash log file nb_crash.log, send it to us too.
