Tacking on the impressive Monster Hunter Rise sales numbers, we’re looking north of 70 million units shipped to date. A rise in worldwide popularity contributed significantly to the overall success of the franchise.
The year isn’t over for Capcom and Monster Hunter, as they plan to release Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin for PC and Switch later this year, on July 9, 2021. There will be new mechanisms that allow players to link between the new title and Monster Hunter Rise. For PC fans, don’t worry because Monster Hunter Rise is also coming to PC sometime in early 2022.
Capcom aims to keep the snowball rolling and increase brand awareness into the foreseeable future. The franchise’s first official movie, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starring Mila Jovovich as Artemis, sees a lot of success after its release on March 26 in Japan.
