The idea of a convention of any kind right now is kind of out the door by default. Without bringing the whole room down here, it still isn’t really safe to have any kind of large-scale public gatherings, to say nothing of an event on the scale of a typical gaming convention like BlizzCon. But hey, when life gives you potatoes, you make potato salad. There may not be a physical event to see, but Blizzard’s still got plenty to share with us, so they’ve opted for an alternative approach. Here’s how to watch the BlizzCon 2021 presentations.

Due to the pandemic, the entirety of BlizzCon 2021 will be a virtual event, aptly titled “BlizzConline,” that will feature a bevy of presentations focused on Blizzard’s biggest properties, including Diablo, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Overwatch. These presentations will be split up among six dedicated YouTube channels, each focusing on a particular topic, that will be broadcasting gameplay, behind-the-scenes footage, community projects, and other miscellaneous fun stuff. All of these channels will be available on the official BlizzCon website once things get rolling on Friday, February 19th, at 5:00 PM Eastern time.

How to Watch BlizzCon 2021

The six BlizzCon channels focus on the following topics:

  1. Blizzard Channel: The main channel, offering a little bit of everything, plus rebroadcasts of certain presentations of the other channels.
  2. World of Warcraft: Making-of presentations about WoW, as well as sneak peeks into what’s coming next for the game.
  3. Hearthstone: Exhibition matches, Q&A sessions, and some community presentations.
  4. Diablo: Art showcases, developer round-tables, and with any luck, some info about new games.
  5. Overwatch/Overwatch 2: Progress on the development of Overwatch 2, interviews with voice actors, community creations, and presentations from the Overwatch League.
  6. Strategy Channel: Starcraft presentations, reminiscence of Blizzard’s early days, and user-made mods and content.

You can get a complete schedule of events for all six channels on the BlizzCon website. The overall convention will be running until Saturday, February 20 at 7:30 PM Eastern Time.
