In the new 1.4 update of Stardew Valley ConcernedApe added new Heart Events to unlock with your spouses. These Heart Events take place at 14 Hearts. To help you unlock each new Heart Event I am writing a guide for each spouse. The guide below shows you how to unlock the Shane 14 Heart Event in Stardew Valley.
How to Reach 14-Hearts with Shane?
To unlock the new event you first need to reach 14 hearts with Shane. You should already be around 10 since you’ve married him. To quickly raise the hearts with Shane you will want to give him the any of the following favorite items until you reach 14 Hearts:
- Hot Pepper.
- Pepper Poppers.
Once you’ve reached 14 Hearts with Shane you need to trigger the next portion of the Heart Event. To do this head into town with Shane when he goes out on Monday at 8:30 AM. When you enter the town you will trigger a cutscene with Shane that starts the heart event.
Shane 14-Heart Event
Upon entering the town you will trigger a cutscene. You are walking by the Stardrop Saloon when Shane comes stumbling out. He’s been drinking hard. Both Marnie and Jas are nearby to witness Shane and mention you should speak to him the next time he comes out of the saloon. This is exactly what we are going to do.
To catch Shane again advance time to the next day and head into town. Upon entering town you will trigger another cutscene. In this cutscene you confront Shane who denies having been drinking. He then gets mad and walks away.
Advance time to the next day for the third and final time and head into town again. This tricks another cutscene with you and Marnie confronting Shane inside the saloon. Shane isn’t drinking, he’s playing arcade games. Shane will ask you why you didn’t believe him to which you can reply:
- “I’m sorry, I should’ve believed you.”
- “I was worried!”
That’s all you need to know to complete the Shane 14-Heart Event. What did you think of this event? Let me know in the comments below.
