Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode is full of Easter Eggs and other hidden secrets. Some of these are still being uncovered to this day, despite the game mode being available for nearly two months. The most recent finding unveils a way to get Thor’s Hammer, in a sense. Here’s how to get Thor’s Hammer in Black Ops Cold War Zombies Die Maschine.

Before you get started with this Easter Egg, you’ll need to make sure you unlock the Sledgehammer. Here’s how to do it.

How to Unlock the Sledgehammer in Black Ops Cold War

To unlock the Sledgehammer, you’ll need to use the Combat Knife to kill two or more players rapidly in 15 different matches. An easy way to complete this is either in Warzone or any Call of Duty Cold War Multiplayer mode, such as Nuketown 24/7. Keep in mind, Nuketown won’t be around forever (maybe), so you may want to unlock this through that mode as soon as possible.

You need to finish the match after completing each rapid kill with the Combat Knife. Failure to do so may result in not being credited any progress towards unlocking the Sledgehammer.

How to Unlock Thor’s Hammer in Black Ops Cold War

The process to unlock Thor’s Hammer is actually quite simple. Equip the Sledgehammer in your loadout before hopping into a match. Then, you’ll need to build the Pack-A-Punch Machine and fully upgrade it. After you Pack-A-Punch the Sledgehammer, you may notice its name change to Zjolnir. It is a reference to Mjölnir, the Norse god Thor’s hammer.

You can even throw the Dead Wire ammo upgrade on it to get that Thor’s Hammer feeling and electrocute the zombies with it. Using the ammo perks empower it with whatever element you choose, even though the Sledgehammer doesn’t use ammo.

As cool as this weapon is, it does the same amount of damage as the Combat Knife. Unfortunately, it’s a bit too slow to be a viable endgame Zombies weapon. There’s also no achievement linked to it now, but if you want to find every little secret Black Ops Cold War Zombies has to offer, here’s one for the books.
