Of the third generation of Pokémon, Nosepass was definitely one of my favorites. I love Pokémon inspired by occult and esoteric stuff, and there’s just something adorable about a little walking Moai head with a huge schnoz. His evolution into Probopass in gen 4 got some mixed reactions, but personally I loved the bushy mustache and little mini noses. If you’ve been missing that stache, here’s how you can evolve your Nosepass into Probopass in Pokémon GO.

In the gen 4 Pokémon games, Nosepass needed to be in the presence of a special magnetic field like Chargestone Cave or Mt. Coronet to evolve into Probopass. That same principle applies in Pokémon GO, but unlike Sinnoh or Unova, I sure don’t know of special magnetic fields out here in the real world. Luckily, you can make your own.

How to Evolve Nosepass in Pokémon GO

To create a magnetic field, you just need to visit any PokeStop and apply a Magnetic Lure Module. When the module is active, just visit the PokeStop, and you’ll be able to evolve your Nosepass into Probopass for 50 Nosepass candy. That’s the easy part.

The hard part is actually getting a Magnetic Lure Module. At the moment, the only way you can obtain a Magnetic Lure Module is by purchasing one from the Shop for 200 coins. That’s a big investment, one that could also buy you a bag or team expansion, so it’ll take some time and saving to obtain. Your best bet is to consistently visit high-level Gyms aligned with your team and placing one of your own Pokémon to guard it. Assuming it doesn’t get knocked off the hill, you can secure a good 50 coins a day in this way, so after four days, you can get your module.

Incidentally, if you happen to have a Magneton on hand, you can evolve it into a Magnezone with a Magnetic Lure Module.
