Motion Twin and Evil Empire have revealed the release date for the upcoming Dead Cells Fatal Falls DLC and it is surprisingly soon. The newest piece of DLC content for the popular roguelite will release on January 26th for $4.99 (or region equivalent) on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. This release marks the 22nd major update for Dead Cells and the second paid DLC since the game was first released in Early Access back in 2017. Dead Cells DLC Fatal Falls Release Date Trailer
The trailer above was uploaded to the Motion Twin YouTube account. This trailer shows a brief look at gameplay for the upcoming DLC. The DLC will deliver to the game two new mid-game biomes, a new boss and a number of new weapons and items. As much of the game’s intrigue is finding additions for yourself we won’t get into them here, but you can spoil if you wish by looking at the Dead Cells patch notes.
Alongside the DLC release date reveal the developers have announced several discounts that will be starting on January 26th and will last into mid-February. These timed discounts will offer players the chance to get into Dead Cells for well below the typical price. These sales include 50 percent off the base game and 30 percent off of The Bad Seed DLC.
If you wish to get all DLC in one bundle there is now a way of doing that. The developers have introduced the Dead Cells: The Fatal Seed Bundle for purchase. This bundle contains all previous 20 free game updates plus the two paid DLCs, Bad Seed, and Fatal Falls. Likewise, this bundle will also be on sale on the 26th for 33 percent off.
Dead Cells original launched in Early Access in 2017. The game has since reached full release and is available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
