Night City is full of technology like vending machines, terminals, and other devices, which you can hack for some easy rewards. We already have a guide on how to complete Breach Protocols, but one Cyberpunk 2077 player decided to hack the hacking with an automated script. So, if puzzle-solving isn’t your cup of tea, you may find this intriguing.
Hacking the Hack
A user named Kamandaran on the /r/cyberpunkgame subreddit posted a video demonstrating the script. The script appears to complete the highest tier sequence, allowing you to get the best datamine within seconds automatically.
Completing breach protocols allows you to extract information, which rewards you with eurodollars (eddies), components, and other items. Figuring out the solution to obtain the highest reward can sometimes be time-consuming and often mind-boggling. It’s to be expected, though, because hacking isn’t supposed to be a one-click type of deal.
Unfortunately, the user did not release their script for the public to use. Technically, this is likely a breach of CD Projekt Red’s terms, so that’s probably for the better. There are some interesting projects out there that aim to do the same thing.
One user made a GitHub project called Optical Breacher MK.1 that allows you to upload a screenshot of any breach protocol. It will spit out the solution for you, so you’ll know which sequence to enter for the maximum rewards.
If you’re wondering how to get more rewards out of your breach protocols, the answer is by having extra daemons with sufficient buffer size. There’s also a perk you can use to get a bonus and make breach protocols a bit easier. Netrunners have their own ways to pad their bank accounts. It’s not always possible to get all three sequences in one go, but with larger buffer size, you’ll have a much higher chance.
While some may consider this “cheating,” it’s still exciting to see the community build innovative new projects around Cyberpunk 2077.
